Jenny Katona

Jenny Katona is a Psychologist with the team at All About Kids. She has worked with children throughout her career, firstly as a teacher in schools, and then as a psychologist in Education and Private Practice. She has been registered as a psychologist since 1992 and is an Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society. In 1993 she received a full scholarship to complete a Masters of Education (guidance & counselling) at James Cook University. As both guidance officer and psychologist for 21 years she has developed a range of experience in areas related to children and adolescents. Jenny has both experience and interest in mental health, and disability. She is very experienced in psychometric, behavioural and academic assessment and the intervention domain and is currently in the Australian standardization project for new Wechsler intelligence and attainment tests. She is accredited in Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) and Triple P Stepping Stones (Positive Parenting Program for Parents of Children with Disabilities). She is comfortable working with children and teens across a range of issues including anxiety & anger management, separation & divorce, depression & mood regulation and bullying.
